The Morality of a Godly Man Part 4: Taking Account

Jun 7, 2021

As we have already learned in this series, if we constantly seek growth in our lives, we can keep our accounts short and live a life that has freedom from the chains of our past.

David was a man who learned lessons the hard way in his life and his story is poured out in scripture for us all to see. The good, the bad, and the ugly are written for us to learn from the mistakes of another and for us to understand that we are not alone in our troubles and that we can overcome the hardships and mistakes of this life in order to be men and women after God’s own heart.

Let us examine our ways and test them. – Lamentations 3:40

Courage is not the absence of fear, but the conquering of it. We must learn to analyze our past honestly. If we do not, we will live a life of delusion and denial.  We must live in the reality that we are imperfect and it is the Lord who makes us perfect in His sight by what Christ accomplished on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins.

There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1
