He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us. – Psalm 103:10–12 (ESV)

This sermon reflects on the life of Peter as an example of both human weakness and God’s grace. It emphasizes that even devoted followers stumble through fear, pride, and doubt, just as Peter did when he sank on the water, misunderstood Jesus’ purpose, or denied Him three times. Yet, through Christ’s unwavering love and forgiveness, symbolized in the saving look Jesus gave Peter after his denial, redemption is always available. The message encourages believers to keep their focus on Christ, seek forgiveness when they fall, and respond to His call to serve with humility. Ultimately, it challenges listeners to examine their own walk with the Lord and to choose repentance, grace, and discipleship in response to His love.
