Once known as Saul, a fierce persecutor of the early church, Paul encountered the risen Jesus on the road to Damascus, and everything changed. His remarkable transformation reminds us that no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace and that Christ meets us even in our deepest resistance.

“Now as he went on his way… suddenly a light from heaven shone around him.” – Acts 9:3 (ESV)

We are also invited to consider the faithful obedience of Ananias, an ordinary disciple God used in extraordinary ways. Through their stories, we learn that salvation is God’s work in us and that He often chooses everyday believers to accomplish His purposes. Paul’s journey from blindness to sight points us to the hope we all have in becoming new creations in Christ.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV)
