Revelation 21:6–7 (NKJV)
Life brings challenges, struggles, and battles that can leave us feeling defeated. But God’s Word reminds us that through Jesus Christ, we are called to live as overcomers.
In Revelation 21:6–7, God promises an eternal inheritance to those who overcome. Our victory is not found in our strength, accomplishments, or determination. It is found in Jesus Christ and what He has already done for us.
The remarkable testimony of Louis Zamperini reminds us of this truth. After surviving unimaginable suffering during World War II, Louis continued to battle bitterness, fear, and anger. It was only when he surrendered his life to Christ that he discovered a victory greater than physical survival: forgiveness, peace, and a transformed life.
As believers, we overcome the world through Christ’s victory, resist evil through the Holy Spirit, overcome worldly influences through faith, and find forgiveness through the blood of Jesus.
Whatever battles we face, we can stand confidently in the promises of God. We are not overcomers because of who we are, but because of who lives within us.
We don’t fight for victory. We fight from victory!
