Hebrews 6:1-10
God does not call us only to begin the Christian life, but to grow and mature in faith.
Hebrews 6 urges believers to move beyond spiritual infancy and build on the foundation they have received. Spiritual privilege brings responsibility, and hearing God’s Word is not the same as truly responding to it.
The writer compares two fields that receive the same rain—one produces fruit, the other thorns. The difference is seen in the outcome.
Spiritual maturity is not measured by time or knowledge, but by what God’s truth produces in us: faith, obedience, love, and Christlike character.
The foundation is essential, but we are not meant to stay there.
It is time to move on to maturity.
