In Genesis 22, Abraham’s journey to Mount Moriah reveals a powerful truth about worship: real worship costs something. When God asked Abraham to offer Isaac, the son of promise, Abraham did not respond with conditions, excuses, or hesitation. He moved in faith, believing that God would provide even when he could not yet see how. That is the heart of worship. Giving God what is most precious, trusting Him beyond our understanding, and believing His promise over our fear.

Too often, people hold back worship until life makes sense. But Abraham shows that worship is most real when we do not understand everything and still choose obedience. On the mountain, God provided a ram as a substitute, and that moment points us forward to the greater provision of Christ. When we worship with full trust, we remember that God always sees what we cannot see and provides what we could never provide for ourselves.
