Principle 7: Reserve a daily time with God for self-examination, Bible reading, and prayer in order to know God and His will for my life and to gain the power to follow His will.

Step 10: We continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong, promptly admitted it.

So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!  – 1 Corinthians 10:12 (NIV)

Daily maintenance helps us to continue on our lifelong recovery journey. Step 10 instructs us to spend time looking back at our day and if needed to make amends to others and to watch for patterns. This daily process helps us to see the positive and negative in our recovery and helps to preserve our relationships with others.

Since we are beginning Step 10 of the 12 Steps of Recovery, we will use the acrostic TEN for this lesson for the following.

  • Take the Time to Do a Daily Inventory
  • Evaluate the Good and the Bad Part of Each Day
  • Need to Admit Our Wrongs in a Prompt Manner
