Hebrews 1:1-14
Every day we are surrounded by voices competing for our attention. News, social media, culture, and even our own hearts all claim to offer truth. The opening chapter of Hebrews reminds us that above every other voice stands the final and perfect revelation of God, Jesus Christ.
Unlike the prophets who faithfully pointed forward to God’s plan, Jesus is the complete revelation of the Father. He perfectly reveals God’s character, accomplished redemption through His finished work on the cross, reigns at the Father’s right hand, and is exalted above all creation. Because Christ is God’s final revelation, we do not need a new message or a new truth. We need to know Him, trust Him, and follow Him.
As we begin our study through Hebrews, may we be reminded that Jesus is better than every other voice, every earthly system, and every human philosophy. He alone deserves our complete faith and absolute allegiance.
